1) "DNA and the Book of Mormon as Examined by a Molecular Biologist" by Ryan Parr

Critics continue to claim—despite the cogent arguments of numerous experts in DNA research—that DNA has proven to Book of Mormon to be fictitious. Molecular Biologist, Ryan Parr—whose DNA sequencing research of Egyptian Mummies has been profiled by PBS, and whose DNA studies have helped identify victims of the Titanic disaster—refutes the claims of the critics. Parr argues that DNA science, contrary to the critics, has not disproved the Book of Mormon.

2) "What I Learned about Life, the Church, and the Cosmos from Hugh Nibley" by Boyd Petersen

Boyd Petersen, son-in-law of the late Dr. Hugh Nibley and author of NibleyÆs biography, gave a two-part presentation. With the current media attention over a book written by one of NibleyÆs daughters who left the Church and accused her father of sexual molestation, Petersen tackles the allegations with an insider perspective. The second part of PetersenÆs presentation deals with the many wonderful ways that Dr. Nibley contributed to LDS studies, social commentary, environmental issues, and the love of family. Anyone who has ever read a Nibley book or article, or who is merely familiar with one of the greatest LDS scholars of this century, will not want to miss this thought-provoking and entertaining presentation.
