Joseph Smith Miscellany (DVD)
Joseph Smith is one of the most enigmatic and controversial figures of American history. Dr. Richard Bushman examines some of the approaches to Joseph Smith as well as some interesting topics on the prophet. These topics include (among others) treasure digging, JosephÆs visions, his approach to womenÆs issues, and the claim—common among some critics—that the Book of Mormon merely reflects JosephÆs early traumatic childhood. Richard Bushman is Gouverneur Morris Professor of History Emeritus at Columbia University and author of Joseph Smith: Rough Stone Rolling, published by Alfred A. Knopf in 2005. Among his written works are Believing History: Latter-day Saint Essays and Joseph Smith and the Beginnings of Mormonism. Dr. Bushman co-authored Building the Kingdom: A History of Mormons in America and Mormons in America. In the Church he serves as Patriarch of the New York, New York Stake. He is the husband of Claudia Bushman and father of six children. Title: Joseph Smith Miscellany (DVD) Your Price: Only $6.95
