Matthew B. Brown received his B.A. in history from Brigham Young University. He is the author of several books including Symbols in Stone: Symbolism on the Early Temples of the Restoration (with Paul Thomas Smith), The Gate of Heaven: Insights on the Doctrines and Symbols of the Temple, All Things Restored: Confirming the Authenticity of LDS Beliefs, The Plan of Salvation: Doctrinal Notes and Commentary, Plates of Gold: The Book of Mormon Comes Forth, and the forthcoming Joseph Smith: The Man, The Mission, The Message. He has also published articles in the Journal of Book of Mormon Studies (on ancient ritual aprons) and the FARMS Review (on the restoration of temple worship).
