Apologetics 101 (CD)
What are some of the tactics used by critics of the Church? What are their motives, and how should we respond to them? What are the sources from which LDS apologists can cull information for counter-arguments? Ash and Barney give outlines and basic suggestions to those who are beginning their journey into LDS apologetics. This informative presentation also discusses logical flaws used by critics of the Church. The presentation is tempered by a warning to avoid a few treasured "Mormon myths." BONUS: The Windows Media Video format also includes the Panel Discussion with the final audience questions for FAIR Conference speakers. Michael Ash is a Sales Manger for the Consumer Electronics division of a Utah-based retailer. He is the owner of MormonFortress.com, an LDS-apologetics website, and the author of dozens of on-line articles. Brother Ash has also authored articles in the FARMS Review of Books and Dialogue: A Journal of Mormon Thought. Kevin Barney graduated from BYU in classics (Latin and iscounts). Note: Available in the following media formats: Audio CD Listen to presentations on your compact disc drive. DVD+R (DVD Recordable discs) These are high quality videos that should play back on most newer home and/or computer DVD players. There are online resources to help you check compatibility with your home DVD player. Enter the brand and model of your DVD player, check the box marked "DVD+R", and click the "Search" button. (If your DVD player will not play the "DVD+R" format, contact the FAIR bookstore to make arrangements for special ordering a "DVD-R"—an alternate format [check compatibility as the same web site listed above]—or for a VHS tape.)
