Life of Brigham Young
This is an account written sixteen years following Brigham Young's death in 1877. In this volume, Brigham Young's activities during his early church years are discussed; his close relationship with Joseph Smith; and the rise of his leadership following the Carthage martyrdom. In addition to accounts and examples of President Young's personal qualities, several episodes in Utah history are reviewed including the influence of the California goldrush on the Saints; the various aspects of political turmoil throughout the territory; the Utah War; and the several LDS colonization efforts throughout the west. Because of its impact upon the affairs of the Saints, plural marriage is also discussed--including Brigham Young's much-publicized divorce from Ann Eliza Webb and his day spent in the Utah penitentiary. Title: Life of Brigham Young Your Price: Only $10.95
