Stephen E. Robinson was appointed as chairman of the Department of Ancient Scripture at Brigham Young University in 1991 where he also received a B.A. in English Literature and a M.A. in Ancient Scripture. He received a Ph.D. in Biblical Studies from Duke University and was tenured at Lycoming College after teaching religion there, at Hampden-Sydney College, and Duke. Robinson also served as chairman of the Religion Department at Lycoming.

H. Dean Garrett has taught at BYU since 1981. He received his B.S. in Audiology/Speech Pathology and his M.S. in Health Education, both from Utah State University. He received his Ed.D. from Brigham Young University in Secondary Curriculum and Instruction. He served as mission president of the Calgary, Alberta Canada mission from 2000-2003.
