Abraham's Seed and Covenant

Douglas T. Bentley, Springville, Utah: Cedar Fort, 2003, 6x9" softbound, 130 pages.

This fascinating book shows how the modern-day descendants of Abraham are fulfilling the LordĘs ancient promises. It includes a careful explanation of EzekielĘs prophesied "Stick of Joseph" and how it relates directly to The Book of Mormon.

The prophet Abraham received many powerful promises from the Lord concerning his posterity, and he was shown the marvelous work his descendants would accomplish in the last days.

In this compelling book, author Douglas Bentley provides a stirring message concerning the birthright and covenant of AbrahamĘs children. The book makes it plain for those who are not LDS-but who are familiar with the teachings of Christ-to come to a knowledge of who He is and who they are in the eyes of God.

AbrahamĘs Seed and Covenant creates in the reader a need to know more of the coming forth of EzekielĘs prophesied "Stick of Joseph" and how it can lead people to Jesus Christ and His latter-day church. A powerful missionary tool!

Review Excerpts:

"(This book has) given me insights that broadened my understanding of the subjects...I thank you for making your scholarship available at a reasonable price." --Lloyd O Walter Jr, Ohio

"This book explains the Abrahamic covenant in a clear way. It illustrates why a restoration of the truths which were lost long ago was necessary and why there are two records needed; the Bible and The Book of Mormon." --Maria Egbert, LDSReview.com

"If you want a brief summation of the flow of sacred history as it pertains to the birthright promises, and the
fulfillment of those promises in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, then it's pretty good. But it seems to me to be redundant. ." --Jeffrey Needle, Reviewer, Association for Mormon Letters, 2003

"Because many members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints think that being of "Abraham's seed" is figurative and not literal, this book will be an important addition to any home library. In a comfortable, conversational manner Brother Bentley traces the gospel from the Abrahamic Covenant to its restoration in latter days. The book is easy to understand, but thorough as it explains this all encompassing principle. This book is for investigators and members alike." --JoAnn Penrose, LDSReview.com

Doug Bentley attended Southern Utah State College graduating in 1981 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in psychology. He graduated from Idaho State University in 1986 with a Masters Degree in Athletic Administration, and received a Master of the Scriptures through CES after finishing a four-year course of study in the Standard Works. He is currently in his third decade of teaching the gospel in the Church Educational System since that time.
